The Spawning Grounds is the new novel by Shuswap-based author Gail Anderson-Dargatz.
Gail has twice been a finalist for the Giller Prize.
For many fans, this new novel has been a long time coming.
It's a family saga that weaves First Nation legend, environmental concerns and some of the history of the Shuswap region.
