Firefighters in Kamloops will start carrying Naloxone
Firefighters are often the first to respond to emergency calls and starting in July, they'll have naloxone kits with them when they attend to those emergencies.
Kamloops fire fighters will soon start carrying Naloxone - an antidote for people who overdose on opioids.

Naloxone can reverse the effects of opioid overdoses. Since fire crews are often the first to respond to an emergency call, they're often the first on-scene in a drug emergency.
Mike Adams is the Deputy Fire Chief of Kamloops Fire and Rescue. He joined us for more.
