A reggae slam-poet, a multi-instrumentalist inspired by the rhythms of Brazil and a Cuban born Trovador — that's the lineup for Friday night's Annex Unplugged, the Art Gallery of Hamilton's world music concert series.

Hamilton-based dub poet and MC Michael St. George is one of the artists set to perform.

St. George, who was born in Jamaica, is a League of Canadian Poets Poetry Slam Champion and two-time Dub Poet of the Year.

St. George will be joined by Louis Simão, a Toronto born artist/composer inspired by the rhythms of Brazil and Portugal, who has performed with the likes of Nelly Furtado, and Evaristo, a Cuban born solo artist based in Toronto.

The event takes place Oct. 19 at the AGH Design Annex and is Annex Unplugged's final concert of the series this season.

Tickets are $22, $18 for AGH members and can be purchased online or by phone 905-527-6610, ext. 232, or in-person at the AGH or the Design Annex.

The AGH Design Annex is located at 118 James St. N. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
