A man who police say fired a gun repeatedly at another vehicle during a road rage incident on Highway 403 has been arrested.

Payton Kellam Bush turned himself in at headquarters Tuesday morning, police say. He faces "several firearm charges" and will appear in court today.

Investigators previously identified the 22-year-old with ties to the Hamilton and Brantford area as a suspect in a Feb. 13 confrontation where someone fired several rounds at another vehicle while driving on the highway.

The victim then followed the other driver off the highway and onto the Lincoln Alexander Parkway toward the area of Fortissimo Drive and Connell Crescent, in order to try to get the suspect's licence plate number.

Police say the person behind the wheel hit the brakes at that point, got out of his car and started walking toward the victim's vehicle while shooting another round of gunshots.
