Toronto woman, 42, charged after crash that killed 81-year-old cyclist in Burlington

A 42-year-old woman from Toronto has been charged with "failure to stop after an accident resulting in death and careless driving causing death," after an 81-year-old cyclist was killed in Burlington, police say.

A 42-year-old woman from Toronto has been charged with "failure to stop after an accident resulting in death and careless driving causing death," after an 81-year-old cyclist was killed in Burlington, police say.

Halton Regional Police said officers with the Burlington District were called to North Shore Boulevard near the QEW overpass around 2:30 p.m. on May 18.

Police said the cyclist was struck by a driver who left the scene.

The 81-year-old man was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
