A special weather statement that brought heavy rainfall and strong winds to Hamilton, Niagara, Burlington and surrounding areas on Sunday has now ended.

Environment Canada issued the special weather statement early Sunday, saying rain and windy conditions would start in the morning, continuing into the afternoon.It was lifted around 3 p.m.

There's still a chance of showers Sunday night with a high of –2 C, the agency says.
