Hamilton police bust food truck-like car selling cocaine and marijuana

Police arrested three men believed to be "cooking crack cocaine inside [their] vehicle as they drove around and sold it from the car" overnight Sunday. Police discovered the operation when they pulled the vehicle over at Ferguson Street and Simcoe Street for a traffic violation.

Hamilton police have arrested three men believed to be "cooking crack cocaine" inside their car as they drove around and sold it early Sunday morning. 

Officers discovered the operation when they pulled the vehicle over at Ferguson Street and Simcoe Street for a traffic violation around 1 a.m. Sunday.  

According to a police statement, the arresting officers discovered approximately $2,500 worth of powder cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana inside the food truck-like car believed to be selling the drugs.  

Cash, cell phones, scales, a prohibited knife and other drug paraphernalia were also seized.  

The three men have been charged with two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking cocaine and marijuana.

Police said two of the men were charged with possession of proceeds of crime and one was also charged for possession of a prohibited weapon and five counts of breaching a probation order.  

Police were aware of the trio prior to making the bust.
