Hamilton cracks down on nuisance parties to Oct. 1, fines up to $25K
The City of Hamilton has enacted a nuisance party bylaw, which it says is intended to curtail large unsanctioned gatherings in communities near McMaster University.
Individuals charged under bylaw can face up to $10K for 1st offence, $25K for any subsequent offence
Over the next couple of weeks, anyone in the McMaster University area throwing, hosting or even attending a large, unsanctioned party could be in for a huge fine.
