You can watch these channels live, 24 hours a day over the internet on:

  • CBC Gem: Use the Gem app on your smart TV or go to the CBC Gem website. You will find the CBC News free streaming channels on the front page under the "Live TV" section.
     

  • CBC News App. Find channels under the video tab or your local tab.
     

  • Selected smart TVs: 

    • On Samsung TV Plus you can watch the CBC News channel in both Canada and the U.S. All 14 local channels are available on Samsung TV Plus in Canada. 

    • On LG Channels you can watch CBC News, CBC News Toronto, CBC News BC, CBC News Nova Scotia, CBC News Ottawa and CBC News Quebec if you are located in Canada. Go to the channel guide and look for us under the News & Opinion section.
       

  • Streaming devices and apps that connect your TV to the internet such as:

Local news: Your local newscasts are streamed live and repeated on our news channels for your convenience. Just find your local channel and tune in at 6 pm or 11 pm on weekdays to watch live news. The National is the CBC's flagship national newscast, with news reports and investigations from across Canada and around the world. You can watch The National live on CBC News streaming channels Sunday through Friday, starting at 9 pm. ET. The show plays live on our streaming channels through the evening. If you like catching up on news in the morning, The National replays until 10 a.m. ET. 

The FIfth Estate is a weekly documentary program where CBC investigative reporters dig deep to expose bad actors in all corners of Canada and hold them to account. The Fifth Estate has won several awards, including the Michener Award, International Emmys and an Academy Award in 1983.
