Are you an emerging Canadian filmmaker who wants to get a short film in front of a national audience?

Consider submitting your work to the 18th season of Short Film Face Off, airing this August and September on CBC TV and CBC Gem.

The CBC is looking for short films from every region of the country to be presented on the program.

Short Film Face Off will broadcast nine films along with commentaries from the filmmakers. A panel of industry professionals provides perspective on the creative and technical aspects of the films.

The home viewing audience votes for their favourite film. All nine films will be in the running.

The winning filmmaker will receive the Telefilm Canada award of $30,000 to be used for their next film. Submission is FREE! Each filmmaker will receive a license fee.

So what are we looking for? See guidelines here.

The deadline for entries is March 21, 2025.
