A 23-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after hitting a tree while skiing in Lake Louise, Alta., on Saturday.
STARS air ambulance was dispatched to Mineral Springs Hospital in Banff around 3 p.m., a spokesperson confirmed.
The skier was airlifted to the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary in stable, non-life-threatening condition.
The men's alpine World Cup is currently underway in Lake Louise, with the women's World Cup to take place next week.
A spokesperson for the event said the injured skier was a member of the public and not a World Cup participant but that the World Cup medical team assisted resort medical staff.
