Shania Twain to lead 2025 Calgary Stampede Parade

Canadian country music star Shania Twain will lead the 2025 Stampede Parade, the Calgary Stampede said Wednesday.

Canadian country music star Shania Twain will lead the 2025 Stampede Parade, the Calgary Stampede said Wednesday.

"A global superstar, celebrated songwriter and style icon, Twain is a five-time GRAMMY winner and one of music and fashion's most renowned trailblazers," the organization wrote in a newsletter.

"With six albums released and more than 100 million albums sold worldwide, Twain remains the top-selling female country pop artist of all time."

The 59-year-old from Windsor, Ont., said she's looking forward to it.

"I can't wait to see you on Friday, July 4," Twain said in a video posted Wednesday.

"The Calgary Stampede is an amazing celebration of western heritage and culture. It embodies the true spirit of Calgarians and Canadians."

This year's Stampede runs July 4 to July 13.
