Calgary police seek 4 youths who used bear spray during cellphone store robbery
Suspects got away with several cellphones that were kept in a safe
Police are looking for four young men who set off bear spray as they robbed a cellphone store in northwest Calgary earlier this week.
The robbery happened at about 2 p.m. on Monday at the Telus store at 11728 Sarcee Trail N.W., police said in a release.
The four youths were all wearing black hoodies, blue jeans, black sunglasses, gloves and face masks as they entered the store.
"Upon entering the store, the youths deployed bear spray, affecting numerous customers and employees," the release said.
They stole several cellphones that were kept in a safe.
Three of the suspects fled through the front door and one left through the back exit.
It's believed all four suspects got into a light green or beige SUV and fled the area.
All four suspects are six feet two inches to six feet three inches with lean builds, weighing approximately 150 to 160 pounds.
Investigators are asking for anyone who may have cellphone video of the incident or information about the suspects to call police or contact Crime Stoppers.
