Mitchell Thomas Huber, 23, was taken into custody without incident Thursday afternoon at a residence in nearby Blackfalds.

He was wanted on 10 warrants in connection with the incident on the evening of Aug. 17.

The incident happened at the intersection of 57th Avenue and Kerry Wood Drive after a man got out of his car and confronted a motorist who had been driving aggressively, RCMP said in a release.

The motorist pulled out a handgun and fired a shot, hitting the victim's car. The suspect then fled the scene.

No one was injured.

The suspect's truck was later found, on fire, on Township Road 400 north of Blackfalds. It was extinguished by firefighters.

The truck had been reported stolen from Whitecourt. Its licence plate had been stolen separately from Whitecourt, RCMP said.
