A suspect wanted in a shooting in the northeast Calgary community of Renfrew in early February has been arrested, with police finding an arsenal of weapons and drugs after tips from the public.

A suspect wanted in an early morning shooting in the northeast Calgary community of Renfrew in early February has been arrested, with police saying they found an arsenal of weapons and drugs after tips from the public.

Justin David Fogg of no fixed address was arrested Sunday after police asked for the public's help in the case. Police also said Fogg may be known as "Point Five," "Heatbag" or "The Biebs."

A man was left with serious injuries after being hit in a targeted shooting early Feb. 14 in the 1400 block of Renfrew Drive N.E., police said Thursday. The victim was taken to hospital but has since been released.

"Upon [Fogg's] arrest, police seized items related to the shooting, as well as methamphetamine, GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate), brass knuckles, a Taser and bear spray," police said in a release Monday.

"Eighteen additional charges were laid including two counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and 10 counts of failing to comply with a recognizance."

Fogg had been facing 18 warrants prior to the arrest. 

He's scheduled to appear in a Calgary court on March 15.

"Information received from the public was instrumental in making an arrest," police said.
