1 dead, another injured after large fight in downtown Calgary neighbourhood
Police investigating whether 3rd stabbing victim is connected to case

One person is dead and at least one other was sent to hospital early Saturday morning after a large brawl in central Calgary led to stabbings, police say.
Shortly before 2 a.m., police responded to reports of a "large fight" in a parking lot outside of a bar at the 700 block of 10th Avenue S.W.
Investigators say the fight began at Commonwealth Bar and Stage. Responding officers found multiple victims suffering from stab wounds, police say.
One of the victims, a 21-year-old man, was taken to hospital but declared dead upon arrival, police said. Another victim is currently in hospital in stable condition.
A short time later, a third stabbing victim arrived at the hospital in stable condition. Police are working to find out if this incident is related to the fight, police say. The third victim was released from the hospital on Saturday.
Four people were arrested in downtown Calgary in connection with the incident and they remain in custody, pending further investigation, police say.
Investigators believe witnesses to the fight may have filmed the incident, and are asking anyone who has cellphone or dashcam footage from the area, to contact them. Police added they're specifically looking for a witness who left the scene in a dark-coloured Tesla, who they don't believe to be have been involved in the confrontation itself.
"It is believed that this was an alcohol-fuelled fight, that tragically took the life of one man. We are committed to finding answers for the victim's family and are pleading with anyone with information to come forward," said Staff Sgt. Sean Gregson from the CPS Homicide Unit in a news release.
The investigation led to road closures in the Beltline neighbourhood, with 10th Avenue S.W. shut down between 5th and 8th streets.
