Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi has made a Grey Cup bet with recently-elected Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger.

They have agreed the mayor of the losing team's city should donate 100 pounds of food to the food bank in the winning team's city.

The mayor of the losing city will also wear the winning team's jersey at an upcoming council meeting.

Nenshi says the two mayors are encouraging all Canadians to make their own Grey Cup bets with friends and family with the loser making a donation to a local food bank.

He suggests people could also collect food bank donations at their Grey Cup parties.
