Lake Louise and parts of Banff National Park to face temporary power cut
AltaLink, the company which manages power lines in the area, said the pause in service is required to allow their crews to remove a tree that is at risk of falling on a service line.
Power company says the outage will last for three hours Wednesday morning
Lake Louise village and parts of Banff National Park west of Sunshine Village will be impacted by a power outage on Wednesday morning that is expected to last for at approximately three hours.
AltaLink, the company that manages power lines in the area, called the outage "urgent" in a statement posted to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
The company said the pause in service is required to allow crews to remove a tree that is at risk of falling on a power line.
The outage will begin at 7:45 a.m., said AltaLink.
The company added that the Banff townsite and Sunshine Village itself will not be affected.
