Homicide unit investigating suspicious death in southwest Calgary

Members of the Calgary Police Homicide Unit are investigating what they said was a suspicious death in the southwest community of Discovery Ridge on Sunday night.

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating after a dead man was found inside a residence in a community in the city's southwest.

At around 7:30 p.m Sunday, police were called to the 100-block of Discovery Ridge Close S.W., following reports of a man found dead inside the home.

Police said the death is suspicious. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

Police said there is no further information available at the time as the investigation is in its early stages.
