Last Saturday, a man filled his cart with about $500 worth of meat, say RCMP in the southern Alberta town.
He then opened a box of black garbage bags and put the meat in one of the bags. He left the store, pedaling away on a bike.
Police say the next day, the same man filled a cart with $600 worth of meat and seafood.
When Co-op staff recognized him, he abandoned his cart inside the store and left on a bike.
RCMP describe the man as being in his 50s or 60s, about six feet tall with shoulder-length greyish blond hair.
