CBC Calgary is highlighting the rich heritage and contributions of Asian Calgarians through a series of five profiles once again and we want you to tell us about them!

Join CBC Calgary as we celebrate the 2025 Asian Changemakers. This series will highlight stories of legacy, heritage and cultural pride from Calgary's Asian communities.
Do you know an Asian Changemaker from Calgary and area whose story deserves to be told? We welcome nominations of diverse individuals with different goals and interests, and a common commitment to giving back to the community. Nominations will be open until May 30, 11:59 PM MST.

May is Asian Heritage Month, and Calgary is alive with vibrant celebrations, cultural showcases, and community connections organized by the Asian Heritage Foundation. This year's theme, "Unity in Diversity: The Impact of Asian Communities in Shaping Canadian Identity," sets the stage for a month full of meaningful engagement and festive expression.
The Asian Heritage Foundation is hosting a vibrant series of events throughout May to celebrate Asian Heritage Month in Calgary, including a Chinatown scavenger hunt, a Filipino art exhibit at the Philippines Consulate, and a special film and awards night in partnership with the FascinAsian Film Festival. With workshops, cultural performances, and community showcases happening citywide, the foundation invites Calgarians to celebrate the richness and diversity of Asian cultures all month long.
