A man accused of attacking a teen who was out for a walk along a river pathway in Calgary has turned himself in but police are still looking to the public for help identifying others who assaulted the 18-year-old's father.

Cody John Landry, 27, is charged with assault causing bodily harm in relation to the May 14 incident on a river pathway near Barclay Walk S.W. and Eau Claire Market in the city's core.

Police continue to ask the public for help identifying three others who were part of a group attack on the 18-year-old's father.

Landry is suspected of being with a group of people who were, as police described, "causing a disturbance," according to police, when the father and son approached.

After words were exchanged, Landry is accused of attacking the son, repeatedly punching him in the face and taking him to the ground.

Then, three others attacked the father, punching and kicking him.

Police credit bystanders with helping the victims and believe some were able to get photos and video of the attack.

Investigators are looking for anyone who was in the area at the time, hoping to track down images that could help identify the other three involved in the attack.

Witnesses who have spoken with police so far were not able to take photos or video but have said that there were others recording the assault.

Landry is set to appear in court later in June.
