Canada Day in Calgary: There's an app for that

Wondering what to do on Canada Day in Calgary?
The City of Calgary has it covered with an iPhone app called Canada Dayyc, which can be downloaded for free when you search "City of Calgary Canada Day" in iTunes.
The app details all the city-sponsored events happening on Sunday, including music, food and a variety of activities at Prince's Island Park as well as the fireworks show set to explode over the Centre Street Bridge at 10:45 p.m. MT.
There is also a Park and Pedal running from the Pumphouse Theatre to the Max Bell Arena, a RiverWalk and a food celebration called Calgary Eats! planned at Olympic Plaza that includes food trucks, a farmers market and fare from local restaurants.

The app also features a Canadian trivia section and allows people to create postcards to share with family and friends through social networking sites.
The City of Calgary has also posted its Canada Day activities to its website.
Another website that gives a rundown of events for Canada's 145th birthday can be found at calgarycanadaday.ca.
The website highlights events happening around the city, including local community association barbecues and an antique car show at Fort Calgary.
