In the wake of a fatal plane crash, Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie says he wants changes made to airport traffic.

One pilot was killed and eight other people were injured on Thursday when a plane crashed onto a Richmond street and caught fire one kilometre from the runway of the Vancouver airport.

It was the third major accident in the last four years involving a small plane in Richmond.

As the CBC's Leia Hutchings reports, Brodie plans to renew discussions about small aircraft at Vancouver's largest airport.
