Victoria man shot dead in Thailand
A Victoria, B.C., man has been found dead of a gunshot wound in Thailand and police have arrested his wife and two other people.
Dale Henry, 48, who had been working as a safety inspector for an oil drilling company for the past 10 years, was found at home last week with a bullet wound to the head.
Henry's brother Richard, 45, who owns a Victoria window-washing company, and sister from Calgary were flying to Thailand on Sunday to attend the funeral, according to reports.
Dale's Thai wife, Nee, her lover and an alleged contract killer are in custody and have been charged in the death, the reports said.
Richard Henry said police believe the motive was a $1-million U.S. life-insurance policy that Dale's employer, a drilling company, provided in his name.
Henry is the second Canadian killed in Thailand this year.
Last month, Leo John Del Pinto of Calgary was shot to death by an off-duty police officer.
