Vancouver Airport's new designer stores include Armani, J Crew

Big name retailers including Armani, Coach and Banana Republic are opening up stores at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet at Vancouver Airport this summer.

Armani, Coach and Banana Republic are some of the big name retailers opening up stores at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet at Vancouver Airport this summer.

Global brands will be featured at the outlet mall, alongside local Vancouver stores, including retailer/restaurant Secret Location and coffee house Café Artigiano.

Activewear store Lolë and contemporary designer label Ports 1961 will both be making their Vancouver debut at the mall.

The mall is expected to be 70 per cent leased when it opens this summer.

The new 35,000-square-metre mall will be modeled after a village, with coffee shops, restaurants and designer retail space. (McArthurGlen)

Last month, a career fair attracted more than 1,600 applicants and a second two-day fair will be held May 24 and May 25.

There will be 600 retail positions in the first phase of the development with another 400 jobs expected to be filled later on.
