Evacuation order rescinded for properties near Oliver B.C.
Tinhorn Creek burst its banks sending debris downstream, diverting creek and blocking culverts
An evacuation order has been rescinded for 15 properties south of Oliver, B.C., after Tinhorn Creek overflowed its banks Saturday.

—@EmergencyInfoBCThe Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen says debris was dragged downstream, partially blocking culverts and diverting flow from the creek.
"All residents may return to their properties in the area but remain under a precautionary evacuation alert for the time being until creek levels subside," said a release from the regional district.
The alert includes 15 buildings along Road 8 and Road 9, south of Oliver.
On Saturday, at least one vineyard in the area said some of its vines had been damaged due to the debris flow.

—@SandraOldfieldJoseph Luckhurst with Road 13 Vineyards said some fencing was also destroyed by the debris.
"It's an issue," he said. "But it's not going to put us out of business."
Meanwhile the regional district said an irrigation canal that provides water for 750 acres of orchards and vineyards also filled with debris.
Additional precautionary evacuation alerts are in effect for properties along Testalinden Creek, south of Oliver, and Twin Lakes, west of Kaleden.
