One person is dead after a vehicle crashed into a logging truck north of Prince George.

RCMP say it happened at around 9:30 a.m. about 50 kilometres north of city along Highway 97 near Summit Lake Road.

They say a vehicle crossed the centre line and collided with a logging truck. 

They did not say which vehicle the deceased was in.

The highway was closed for several hours following the crash but has since reopened.
