Supermodel Godfrey Gao is already a household name in Asia and now the Vancouver-raised celebrity is poised to raise Canada's profile as a tourist destination to the Chinese market.
He is the first Asian model to appear in a Louis Vuitton ad and has appeared on numerous international magazine covers.
Gao has signed a deal with the Canadian Tourism Commission to become its new ambassador in its marketing and awareness campaign for Asian markets. He will be shooting segments in Vancouver, Toronto and Whistler for the tourism commission.
