Man fatally shot inside East Vancouver home, police say

Vancouver police say a man was fatally shot inside a home early Sunday morning, in what is the city's second reported homicide of the year.

Vancouver police say a man was fatally shot inside a home early Sunday morning, in what is the city's second reported homicide of the year.

Police say they were called out to a house near the intersection of Kootenay and Dundas streets just before 4:30 a.m. PT on Sunday.

There, they say a 49-year-old man had been shot. He died at the scene.

Police say two suspects, both in their 20s, have been arrested in the case.

The VPD did not immediately identify them, nor say whether the homicide was targeted.

They're asking anyone with more information on the homicide to contact them.

The city's first reported homicide of the year was on March 22, at the waterfront CRAB Park.
