Vancouver's 1st homicide of 2025 reported at CRAB Park
Police say a man was found deceased on the park's beach just before 8:30 a.m. on Saturday

UPDATE — March 25: Police have identified the man killed in CRAB Park on Saturday as 51-year-old Brett MacDonald. They say he was found dead on the northwest side of the park, along a gravel path, by passersby. Investigators say they believe the killing was targeted. Np arrests had been made as of Tuesday.

Vancouver police are investigating after a man was found deceased at a waterfront park on Saturday morning, in what is the first homicide reported to police in the city this year.
Police say they were called to CRAB Park just before 8:30 a.m. PT on Saturday after a man's body was found on the beach.
The park is located near the city's port and the Canada Place seaplane terminal, along the waterfront.
Police did not identify the victim, and say the cause of death was unknown as of Saturday morning. No one has been arrested in the case.
Anyone with information on the killing is asked to call investigators.
