1 dead in workplace incident at mill in Quesnel, B.C.

One person is dead following a workplace incident at a Quesnel mill.

Police say it happened at the WestPine mill site, operated by West Fraser, along Carradice Road in the city's northeast.

RCMP say police, ambulance, and fire crews responded to a call at the site at around 10:18 a.m. Friday.

They say a 24-year-old is dead, and police and WorkSafeBC are investigating.

The mill is used to engineer medium-density fibreboard generally used in building materials
