The most awarded artist in Juno history will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 54th Juno Awards on March 30.

Anne Murray will be the first artist to receive the honour, which is being given out for the first time since the Juno Awards' namesake, Pierre Juneau, received it in 1989.

The singer from Springhill, N.S., has received 25 Junos, four Grammys, three American Music Awards, three Country Music Association Awards, and three Canadian Country Music Association Awards over her storied career, which also includes a companion of the Order of Canada, and a limited-edition stamp from Canada Post. She has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame.

She last appeared at the Juno Awards in 2024, where she welcomed everyone to the host city of Halifax.

"Some of you might be too young to know much about me," Murray joked at the time, "but I attended the very first Juno Award celebrations way back when, even before Nelly [Furtado] and many of you were born."
