Quick and super simple to make, these DIY baby food purees will keep your little one smiling.
Ingredients
Sweet Pea:
- Green peas
- Splash of water or milk
Apple:
- Apples
- Splash of water
- Ground cinnamon (to taste)
- Ground nutmeg (to taste)
Sweet Potato:
- Sweet potatoes
- Splash of canola or coconut oil
Preparation
Sweet Pea:
In a food processor blend green peas with a splash of water or your choice of milk. If your baby likes it, add some chopped mint. Puree until smooth.
Apple:
Chop apples and remove seeds (peeled or unpeeled). Heat in a saucepan with a splash of water until tender. Mash with a fork or a food processor. Add ground cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.
Sweet Potato:
Peel sweet potatoes and slice into half moons. Add to parchment lined baking sheet and drizzle over a splash of canola or coconut oil. Roast in oven at 400F until tender, about 20 minutes. Puree in food processor or mash with a fork until smooth.
