Kick off the month streaming Canada Day celebrations and stay for some incredible new programming

This July, after two years of virtual celebrations and reflection, CBC will offer audiences a full lineup of Canada Day programming across all platforms, showcasing voices, music and perspectives from communities from coast-to-coast-to-coast.

In addition to kicking off the month with Canada Day coverage and specials, there is a long list of new movies, tv series and documentaries, including the new medical drama, SkyMed and Season 2 of the popular sand sculpting competition series, Race Against the Tide, featuring new host Wes Williams (aka Maestro Fresh Wes). 

Here is a full list of the new programming coming to CBC Gem in July:

  • CBC News Special: Canada Day 2022 (News special, begins at 11 a.m. ET)
  • Canada Day Evening Celebration (Variety Special, 8pm)
  • Canadian Strain (Comedy, 1x79 minutes)
