Gymnast Simone Biles sticks 1st pitch at Astros' game

World champion gymnast Simone Biles is still a U.S. Olympic hopeful, but she should get a gold medal for her first pitch prior to a Houston Astros' game.

Performance worthy of a perfect 10

Plenty of celebrity athletes have agonized over throwing the first pitch at a major-league game.

Evidently, U.S. Olympic gymnast Simone Biles decided she would add a degree of difficulty before her first toss at a Houston Astros' game on Monday.

Ok, maybe two degrees of difficulty. Check it out.

The right-handed pitch goes right down the line, in what's been called a "side aerial."

Biles is even more impressive away from the mound. She is a three-time world all-around champion (2013-15), has a total of 10 world gold medals, and could win multiple events in Rio should she be named after U.S. Olympic team trials next week.

Despite all of those credentials, Biles told Houston sports reporter Alex Radow, "it was really nerve-racking more than whenever I compete on a four-inch beam, but I think it went pretty good."
