It's getting toward the end of the Games, and even the most enthusiastic of us are feeling a bit worn out.

But there was still plenty of excitement to keep everyone awake this Tuesday in Rio.

Adam van Koeverden ended his Olympic career with what he said "could be the purest race I've ever completed." And his fellow Canadians had a lot of love for him — which is fitting, because he's always supported them.

Later, Team Canada women's soccer lost a heart-breaking match to Germany, sending them to the bronze-medal game  on Friday versus Brazil. The team took it hard.

But the Canadians are still ready to play…

And have plenty of fans.

The soccer players weren't the only ones to face a tough loss today. Team Canada women's basketball went down to France in their quarter-final match, 68-63, dashing hopes for a repeat of Canada's performance at the Pan Am Games in 2015. Their teammates were supportive:

Though there was some criticism of the team's play.

But Tuesday wasn't all farewell and failure. Derek Drouin cleared six of six jumps to leap to Olympic gold in the high jump. He was flawless, and his fans were the first to say so.

And though Great Britain's Robert Grabarz was awarded this jump, his reaction when he thought he'd been eliminated was both funny and good-natured.

To wrap up with some cuteness, we give you Simone Biles. What Drake is to Penny Oleksiak, Zac Efron is to the American gymnast — and she got something a little better than concert tickets from the movie star.

It turns out there is one thing that can put Biles off her game! Take notes, Team Canada!
