The NHL draft lottery took place Saturday night in Toronto and hockey fans were sitting at the edge of their seats hoping their team would win the first overall draft pick.

Oilers' fans excluded, people hoped the first pick would go anywhere but Edmonton.

And were incredibly relieved to see McDavid's team get the fourth overall pick.

Meanwhile, fans in Vancouver reacted to the announcement of their No. 5 pick like it was 2011.

The Leafs ended up winning the lottery and earning the first overall draft pick, leaving Toronto fans like:

They literally dropped streamers from the rafters.
