Jamie Langenbrunner tied it late in regulation and scored with a minute left in overtime as the New Jersey Devils extended their season-high winning streak to eight games with a 4-3 home victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night.

Bobby Holik and Brendan Shanahan also scored for New Jersey, and Travis Zajac had a great assist on the winner as the Devils rallied from a two-goal deficit to win.

Sidney Crosby, Maxime Talbot and Evgeni Malkin scored for Pittsburgh, which blew a two-goal lead in the final 8:01.

Langenbrunner tied it with 31 seconds left in regulation when his backhander in close caromed off the skate of Penguins defenceman Ryan Whitney.

Zajac set up the winner, skating out from the right boards past a Penguin and then feeding a cross-ice pass to Langenbrunner for a shot that caught goalie Marc André Fleury out of position.

It was Langenbrunner's 14th goal of the season and second overtime winner in two games.

Shanahan had started the Devils' comeback with a power-play goal with 8:01 to play, a shot that came four seconds after Petr Sykora was given a double winner for hooking and unsportsmanlike conduct.
