The Pittsburgh Penguins captain has been out of action since Jan. 6 with a concussion and is missing the National Hockey League's all-star weekend in Raleigh, N.C.

As of now, however, Crosby can do off-ice workouts, the Pens told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

He's been out for nine games so far after taking a hit from behind while on the boards from Victor Hedman of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Crosby also took a hit to the head by Washington's David Steckel on New Year's Day during the Winter Classic game.
