Bruins' Lucic has broken finger

Bruins forward Milan Lucic is sidelined indefinitely with a broken finger.

Bruins forward Milan Lucic is out indefinitely with a broken finger.

Coach Claude Julien said Saturday he wasn't sure exactly which digit was injured, but suspected it was the right index finger.

Lucic did not dress for Boston's game Saturday night in Phoenix. His spot in the lineup was taken by Guillaume Lefebvre, who was summoned from Providence of the AHL.

It isn't known for sure when Lucic was hurt but the big winger did go hard into the boards during Friday's 3-0 win in Dallas.

Lucic, 21, has yet to score in six games this season, his third in the NHL, after netting a career-high 17 goals in 2008-09. The Bruins inked him to a three-year extension worth more than $12 million US over the summer.
