Vanderjagt shatters field goal mark
Canadian Mike Vanderjagt booted his way into the NFL record book on Sunday.
The Indianapolis Colts' kicker connected from 43 yards out on the final play of the game to give his team a 20-17 road win over the Houston Texans.
Vanderjagt's 41st consecutive field goal, dating to last season, broke the previous mark of 40, held by Gary Anderson.

With the victory, the Colts (12-4) clinched the AFC South title and will host the Denver Broncos in the opening playoff round next weekend.
Vanderjagt, a native of Oakville, Ont., tied the mark in the second quarter with a 39-yard field goal.
The 33-year-old has made 37 of 37 field goals this season. He is close to breaking the league record for field goals in a season. Miami's Olindo Mare made 39 in 1999.
