Stampeders sign receiver Ken-Yon Rambo
The Calgary Stampeders locked up Ken-Yon Rambo on Tuesday, signing the receiver to a multi-year contract extension.
Terms of the deal were not released.
"There's no place I'd rather be," Rambo said in a statement. "I love it here, I love where this organization is heading, I love the guys in this locker-room and it was an easy decision to commit to the Stampeders."
Rambo, 29, is coming off a stellar 2007 CFL campaign, his third in the league, in which he set personal bests with receptions (62), receiving yards (983) and touchdowns (10).
He also had at least one reception in each of his 17 regular-season games
A product of Ohio State, Rambo was a seventh-round pick of the Oakland Raiders in the 2001 NFL draft. He later joined the Dallas Cowboys after being released at the end of training camp and signed with the New York Jets in 2003.
He joined the Stampeders as a free agent in 2005.
