Roughriders sign import QB Leak

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed import quarterback Chris Leak.

Leak spent the last two seasons as a backup with the Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes.

The six-foot, 205-pound quarterback completed 36 of 59 pass attempts for 296 yards and one touchdown with Montreal.

Leak, 26, initially signed with Hamilton in 2008 but was claimed by Montreal a day later.

He previously made a pre-season appearance with the NFL's Chicago Bears and led the Florida Gators to a BCS national championship in 2007.
