	1. CALGARY STAMPEDERS [unchanged] Overall record: 10-3 Streak: One win There's nothing more beautiful than watching a quarterback throw a long, long one and drop it into the hands of a speeding receiver for a touchdown. Henry Burris did it twice this week. Against the Als we saw the White Stallions at full gallop. Problem: They have to do it in the return match this week at Montreal or the Riders may be right with them as the showdown for first arrives.
	2. SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS [up from 3] Overall record: 9-4 Streak: Three wins Imagine that, the Riders played an entire game without a turnover. And hardly any penalties to mention. Pleasure to watch that one. Now, hold serve against the Argos this week at home and then prepare for the big one against Calgary. First in the West is back in view.
	3. MONTREAL ALOUETTES [down from 2] Overall record: 9-4 Streak: One loss We've been harping on that secondary all year and there was the problem in full bloom again on Friday against the Stamps. They gave up 412 yards on just 19 completions to Henry Burris. A good QB can rip these guys and they have to tighten up to win the Grey Cup. That's always the goal in Montreal.
	4. B.C. LIONS [up from 5] Overall record: 5-8 Streak: Two wins How about that Paul McCallum? He's 197 years old and still booting the ball, George Blanda-like. Travis Lulay looked pretty good at QB for the Lions, but still not convinced he's a long-term solution. Defence played a strong game against the Bombers.
	5. HAMILTON TIGER-CATS [down from 4] Overall record: 6-7 Streak: Two losses The Kitties have blown a pair of two touchdown leads over the last two weeks. These things happen. What surprised against the Eskimos was the lack of defence, something that’s supposed to be getting better with recent changes, not worse. Now they’re scratching in the litter with the Argos for second in the East.
	6. TORONTO ARGONAUTS [unchanged] Overall record: 6-7 Streak: Two losses Since starting the year 5-2, the Argos have gone 1-5, so it's time to turn this ship around. That's going to be a bit tough going back to Regina this week. Having runner Cory Boyd return helps a lot but they need one of the QBs to throw downfield at some point.
	7. EDMONTON ESKIMOS [up from 8] Overall record: 4-9 Streak: Two wins Eric Tillman is proving to be a calming force on the tiller as GM after just a few weeks and it’s showing on the field. The Esks are calmer without the Sword of Damocles hanging over their heads. This should be “Hug QB Ricky Ray Week.” He deserves it.
	8. WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS [down from 7] Overall record: 3-10 Streak: Three losses There's been a lot said the last few weeks about how this is the best losing club in the CFL. That's not true. The Bombers have great potential, to be sure, but they still seem like the expansion-type club we called them in pre-season, based on too many changes in the last two years. One or two key errors a game and these guys are done.
