Toronto Raptors morphing into Huskies on Saturday night
Franchise honouring local team from 1946-47 season for game vs. Knicks
The Toronto Raptors will have a different name, uniforms, and even a different court when they host the New York Knicks at the Air Canada Centre on Saturday night.
In honour of the local franchise that played in the Basketball Association of America's inaugural 1946-47 season, the Raptors are changing their name to Huskies for the night and the logo will be featured prominently throughout the arena.
They are even sporting the new look on Twitter.

On Nov. 1, 1946, the Huskies hosted the first-ever BAA game, a 68-66 loss to the Knicks.
DeMar DeRozan, who is off to a hot start and enters the contest leading the league in scoring with 34.1 points per game, gave fans a glimpse of the blue outfits and is likely hoping that history doesn't repeat itself tonight.
