Edwin Encarnacion hits 6th HR in last 6 games
Blue Jays slugger now has 18 HRs this season
Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Edwin Encarnacion is making a mockery of Major League pitching.
Encarnacion hit another home run on Thursday, giving him six in his last six games.
Josh Donaldson walked in the first inning in the series finale against the Phillies, and Encarnacion promptly blasted an Aaron Nola pitch into the left field bleachers.
He followed that up with an two-run single in the fourth.
He finished the game 2-for-4 with four RBI, four runs and a walk and Toronto won 13-2.

The first-inning home run was his sixth in his last 20 at-bats and his 18th on the year, good for third in the American League.
Over his current six-game hitting streak, Encarnacion has gone 11-for-24 and has walked six times, good for a .567 on-base percentage.
The streak started last Friday in the second game of a four-game series against the Baltimore Orioles where Encarnacion blasted a walk-off home run in the 10th inning to give the Blue Jays a 4-3 win.
He followed that up with two home runs and five RBI the next day in Toronto's 11-6 win, prompting Orioles pitcher Mike Wright to call him overrated, saying ""There's a reason he's batting .240. I think we give him too much credit."
But Encarnacion is making Wright eat his words, as he went 2-for-4 in the series finale win against Baltimore the day after Wright's comments were made, and has now hit homers in three consecutive games against the Phillies (he had the day off on Monday in a loss to Philadelphia).
Over his last six games — Toronto has won all six of those games, outscoring opponents 56-25 — Encarnacion has added 14 RBI and raised his batting average from from .233 to .255.
The streak has also pushed him into the AL lead in RBI, with 61.
With the win, the Blue Jays moved to 38-31, one game back of the Boston Red Sox for the top wildcard spot in the AL.
