Jays send Lind to DL with back issues

The Toronto Blue Jays put Adam Lind on the 15-day disabled list Monday and purchased the contract of Eric Thames from AAA Las Vegas.

Lind has been dealing with back issues for over a week, and struggled while taking batting practices before Monday's win over Detroit. The move is retroactive to May 8. Lind is hitting .313 in 28 games, with seven homers and 27 RBIs.

Thames is hitting .342 in Las Vegas with a .610 slugging percentage in 36 games.
