The agenda is packed.

The list of promises to address is lengthy.

The challenges... numerous, some of them still unknown.

CBC News learned this week that the Liberal government's general program for the upcoming parliamentary session is expected to include proposed legislation to lower taxes on the middle class and a plan to resettle 25,000 Syrian refugees.

With the party set to officially transition into power next week, we asked senior CBC parliamentary reporters Alison Crawford and Catherine Cullen to brief us on what we're likely to see from the new government.
