The Current hosts MMIW forum in Winnipeg

The Current's MMIW public forum in Winnipeg was on Nov. 30.
As part of The Current's ongoing coverage of the missing and murdered Indigenous women in Canada, Anna Maria Tremonti and team headed to Winnipeg to host a forum exploring the root causes of this national issue.

The forum, and live taping, took place at the Eckhardt Gramatté Hall at the University of Winnipeg on Nov. 30 and will be broadcast on CBC Radio One on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

The five-minute virtual reality documentary about the Highway of Tears was also available to be viewed.

This event is part of a series of public forums The Current is hosting across the country to explore the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women.
